Broadband United GmbH (BroadU) is a young & innovative company
which develops and sells products to improve the transmission
properties of traditional telephone cables (twisted pairs) used in the local loop.
For example, solutions from BroadU can help telephone companies to significantly improve the range and quality of DSL signals.
Current IFC prototypes can reduce crosstalk interference on telephone cables by up to 20 dB.
For DSL signals, this means up to 40% more range as well as significantly higher data speeds. These figures have been confirmed in field trials.
In July 2008, BroadU won the Northern Bavarian Business Plan Competition 2008 (BPWN) with its IFC technology.
